Take Time to Smell the Roses

Personal time off is important for physical and mental health. With nearly seven months of 2021 behind us, have you taken time to recharge?

Due to Transwestern’s enhanced vacation carryover policy in 2020, many team members are currently sitting on large vacation balances. To avoid any time off forfeitures, be sure to check your balance and plan time off accordingly. You can do this in a few quick steps:

  1. From the Workday home page, click on “Time Off Balance” in the left-hand column.
  2. Change the calendar to Dec. 31, 2021, and click “submit.”
  3. Find your year-end time-off balance in the column titled Ending Period Balance (including pending events).
  4. Subtract your allowed vacation carryover hours. (Note that this year, Transwestern policy reverts to the regular carryover of half the annual accrual).
  5. Any remaining balance greater than the allowed carryover will be forfeited if not used by Dec. 31, 2021.
