Transwestern has chosen Microsoft OneDrive as its firmwide cloud document storage solution, and all team members will be transitioned from Dropbox to Microsoft OneDrive by the end of Q2 2023.
What is OneDrive? A Microsoft cloud service that connects you to all your files. It allows you to store and protect your files, share them with others and get to them from anywhere on all your devices.
Why are we migrating to OneDrive?
- Improved security features
- Integration with other Microsoft O365 apps
- Ease of use/access
As of December 2022, Technology Services has moved approximately 73% of Transwestern to OneDrive, and the additional 27% will be migrated in 2023.
If you haven’t migrated yet, hold tight! The project team will be reaching out to schedule a migration date with your region or department (note we cannot move individual team members). However, now is an excellent time to begin cleaning up/deleting/removing files and folders that you no longer need. Just like any time you move from one house to another, it’s best to get rid of your junk so you don’t have to move it!
We will continue to accommodate team members with a business need for Dropbox (e.g., client requirements).
