OneDrive Explained

You may have noticed that Microsoft gives you an option to save Word documents and Excel files to OneDrive. OneDrive is Microsoft’s service for hosting electronic materials in the cloud, offering another way to store, sync and share across the internet. It is safe and available at no cost to all owners of a Microsoft account. However, please be aware that at this time, OneDrive is not a replacement for Dropbox or other TW-designated document management locations such as OneSpace. Technology Services is evaluating OneDrive as its future document storage solution, as it seamlessly integrates with our current Microsoft platform. Files shared in a Teams private or group chat, for example, are automatically stored in your OneDrive for Business folder and are only shared with the people in that conversation. Updates on OneDrive will be communicated after further evaluation and testing.
