Transwestern acquires Chicago-based real estate firm as part of national expansion

Houston-based Transwestern Real Estate Services has expanded its presence in the Midwest with the acquisition of Chicago-based MB Real Estate, part of a strategy to extend its reach through “opportunistic” purchases throughout the year.


Transwestern acquires two D.C. brokerage businesses to beef up Mid-Atlantic reach

Transwestern is beefing up its MidAtlantic real estate brokerage presence with the acquisition of two D.C.-based firms. The company is acquiring MGA Inc. and West, Lane & Schlager Realty Advisors LLC, both of which specialize in tenant representation. The deals will add 16 brokers to Transwestern’s Mid-Atlantic tenant advisory and workplace solutions team, more than doubling its size.

Transwestern Investment Group (TIG) sold a 500,000 SF warehouse at 28 Gateway Commerce Center in Edwardsville, the last piece to sell from an investment portfolio originally acquired in 2017. The warehouse is fully leased to Walgreens.


Transwestern Ventures snags approval for Vacaville biomanufacturing campus

Ninety days after submitting plans for a 375,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing campus in Vacaville, Transwestern has approvals in hand. The Houston-based real estate giant closed on the 22 acres of land at the interchange of Interstates 80 and 505 in Vacaville this summer, announcing it would seek to build a three-building life sciences campus on the property.
