Congratulations to Derek Montz, BOMA Houston’s Property Manager of the Year. An active BOMA member, this year Derek chaired the committee that organized the organization’s annual golf tournament. This is one of the most popular fundraising events for the Houston BOMA Foundation, which provides career, leadership and workplace development for Houston BOMA members’ employees and funds important industry research. Derek has built a great reputation within the industry during his career, also winning the Young Professional of the Year award in 2019.
Marcus Billie was inducted into Emerging 100 of Atlanta, the young professional auxiliary of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc. The group’s mission is to enhance the mentoring and tutoring programs of the organization with a focus at B.E.S.T Academy High School and on the Collegiate 100, while serving as role models to the entire community. To date, the Emerging 100 of Atlanta has mentored over 350 collegiate students, volunteered over 2,200 hours with the B.E.S.T Academy seniors, and awarded $320,000 in scholarships to roughly 35 deserving recipients.
Chris Coccaro joined the Mid-Atlantic’s Tenant Advisory + Workplace Solutions group as Executive Vice President in greater Washington, D.C., with a focus on suburban Maryland.
Dan Ashdown was promoted to Vice President of Compliance for the Transwestern companies.
The St. Louis chapter of CREW named Ellen Mannion of Balke Brown Transwestern to its 2023 board of directors.
Micah Larmie was elected to the board of directors for BOMA Chicago. She will serve a three-year term.
